Solid state MOSFET relays

New high current Mosfet relays from Omron can support continuous loads of up to 3.3A AC, 6.6A DC.


The new devices are squarely aimed at electromechanical relay replacement in smart meters, security, medical and industrial applications and match the performance of comparable Omron electromechanical relays.
Key features are the low on resistance compared to electromechanical devices and their low susceptibility to external magnetic interference. A key feature is the fast switching time - with a Ton / Toff of just 3ms / 0.5ms for the GR2 and 5ms / 1ms for the HR1.  
According to Andries de Bruin, Senior European Product Marketing Manager, Omron Electronic Components Europe, «A growing number of applications would prefer to adopt solid state Mosfet relays.
