Alce Nero Freddo, the new organic frozen food company

Alce Nero, the well-known company consisting of organic farmers and processors, has signed an agreement with frozen pizza producer Roncadin to launch a joint venture company called Alce Nero Freddo S.p.A., in which the two companies own 70% and 30% stakes respectively.

The goal of the joint venture company is to enter the frozen food sector with high-quality organic products, filling the gap in the market for a reference organic brand.

The fact that the organic segment currently makes up just 1.3% of all frozen food products compared to a 3.5% share of the food sector in general indicates that the segment is still below its growth potential.
