Eco caps and edible cups mark a turning point for Lavazza

As part of its sustainability programme, Lavazza has unveiled its first 100% compostable Eco Caps coffee capsules in London.

The Eco Caps will replace the entire range of capsules for home consumption by 2025. They will be introduced throughout the UK by November, followed immediately by France and Germany.

At the same time, Lavazza also presented the prototype for the first totally edible coffee cup produced from a mixture of cereals.

Currently in the process of certification, the cup was developed in partnership with the Bulgarian company Cupffee.
