Enoflex makes two acquisitions
Through the acquisition of Supercap and Corchomex, two companies that specialise in the design and sale of innovative T-shaped stoppers, the Enoflex Group (Varese, Italy) is expanding its product portfolio with a complementary range of high-quality closures intended primarily for the spirits sector, but also for wine, olive oil and vinegar.
The two companies will continue to operate independently, benefiting from the expertise and R&D efforts of a world-leading group in the production of closures for the wine and spirits sector, as well as new industrial investments to support growth.
Supercap, headquartered in Mombaroccio in the province of Pesaro, was founded in 1999 by Mirco Bannini and operates primarily in the European market. The Guadalajara, Mexico-based company Corchomex was founded in 2001 by brothers Gerardo and Ivan Stobschinski. At present, it generates almost all its sales in the American continent (North, Central and South America), where it is the leading player in the tequila market.
The merger was finalised on 12 April and will result in consolidated 2022 revenues of €280 million. Each year, Enoflex produces and sells almost 6 billion capsules, screw caps and synthetic corks for still wines, as well as foils and wire hoods for sparkling wines in over 70 countries worldwide. The group has 15 production sites and 1,800 employees.
