Guala Closures Group takes out Covid-19 insurance for its entire global workforce

The Guala Closures Group, one of the world leaders in the production of security closures for spirits and one of the largest manufacturers of aluminium closures for the beverage industry, has taken out a Covid-19 insurance policy to protect all its employees worldwide.

Depending on the country, the insurance provides either a daily allowance for hospitalisation (from the 5th day up to 10 days of hospitalisation) or an allowance paid in a lump sum upon discharge from hospital for a period of more than 5 days.

The Group has also adopted significant safety measures, including the distribution of disposable gloves and masks, physical distancing, monitoring of body temperature when entering the plant and complete sanitisation of all facilities every two weeks.

Guala Closures Group has over 4,700 employees and operates 30 production plants across 5 continents. The Group sells almost 20 billion closures per year and in 2019 posted revenue of €607 million.
