La Molisana sees demand outstrip capacity. Ready for Phase 2

La Molisana has seen pasta orders from both Italian and foreign customers double during the coronavirus emergency.

The Molise-based pasta producer’s output has increased by 30% while demand has grown by 60% to exceed production capacity.

In keeping with its important role as a producer of a basic commodity, the company is making new investments to keep pace with the continued growth in consumption forecast for the post-emergency Phase 2 period.

Flavio Ferro, owner and chief operating officer, announced that the Campobasso-based company will start up its tenth production line, bringing total capacity to almost 600 tons/day compared to the current figure of 500 tons/day.
