Molson Coors starts up US $226 million brewery in Canada
Molson Coors Brewing Company, an American multinational and market leader in the production of numerous varieties of beer, has opened a new brewery and distribution centre in British Columbia, Canada following an investment of US $226.4 million.
The facility will have around 100 employees and will brew and distribute a wide range of Molson and Coors brand beers.
It is the most modern facility in the company’s global network of 29 breweries and is equipped with technology to deliver reduced energy consumption and systems for reducing beer loss and waste.
It has the capacity to produce more beer than the total amount of craft beer sold in the province in the 2018/2019 fiscal year and is designed to integrate production of ready-to-drink and flavoured beverages in response to consumer interest in these products.
