Trays for meat: innovative and sustainable

The range of ILIP trays for meat packaging is designed according to eco-design principles (to obtain better performances with the lowest possible quantity of material) and the circular economy, given that it is 100% recyclable.

It should be noted that all ILIP’s meat packaging trays are characterised by their availability in two different solutions to absorb product exudates: with a Microcell base (which captures and traps cell exudates thanks to surface tension) or with the classic absorbent pad.

SealMaster Line

They are heat-sealable trays designed to ensure perfect processability on packaging lines and suitability for modified atmosphere packaging (M.A.P.). The line includes three material formulations:

• SealMasterEvo (1), in mono-material PET with up to 80% of recycled content, itself 100% recyclable in the PET plastic flow, contributing to process sustainability and circularity;
• SealMasterBio (2), in EN13432-certified bio-plastic, such as Mater-bi® by Novamont. It’s a formulation which is compostable in industrial composting installations and guarantees excellent product integrity and shelf-life.
• SealMasterDuo, characterised by a multi-layer structure in PET/PE, is ideal for high-speed automatic packaging; the formulation offers excellent heat seal integrity and superior sealing even in the event of contamination.

StretchMaster Line (3). The solution is designed for packaging systems with automatic lines that use stretch film or flow-pack. The range includes trays with shapes designed to ensure perfect adaptability to automatic packaging, with ergonomic upper edges that improve sealing and resistance during processing.
