What it is. Tray with modified atmosphere packaging for fish products realized in biopolymer biodegradable and compostable following EN 13432 standard.

Materials. Biopolymers biodegradable and compostable that characterize thermoformed tray and sealable top film.

Product or target market. Fish product – seafood salad. Finpesca^® SpA supplies mass market retailers also with trademark Aquolina^®.

Design and/or communication. It has been studied an evocative naming that explains the sustainable and circular path of this packaging: TeMaTè means Land Sea Land in Italian language and joins in a single thread the LAND, that provides the natural resources useful for production of biopolymers, the SEA, with the natural environment where precious fish grows and is picked, and the LAND, where the packaging returns thanks to organic recycling in industrial composting plant where it is transformed into a new resource, compost, a natural fertilizer that helps the regeneration of the soil. The tray can be equipped with an exterior strip realized in paper easily removable where is reported the brand Aquolina® and the instructions for a correct management of post-consumption waste.

Sustainability. TeMaTè is innovative and sustainable because it is a biobased packaging biodegradable and compostable and at the end of its life it will be transferable to wet waste destined for industrial composting. TeMaTè packaging guarantees product shelf life in line with traditional packaging.
