Puro Mono Film

What is it. It is a line of PE mono film doypacks suitable for packaging of Home & Personal Care products. Designed for recycling according to RecyClass guidelines, respecting the requirements and maximizing the recyclability rate.

Technology. Puro Mono Film is designed for recycling according to RecyClass guidelines, respecting its requirements and maximizing the recyclability rate also thanks to the absence of adhesives. All components including cap and spout are in Mono PE without mass colours. The main goal for this project was the research and development of sustainable materials that offered, for the same weight, mechanical performance comparable to those of the non-recyclable polylaminates currently in use but without giving up to the aesthetic shelf appearance of the finished product. The elimination of the adhesive system resolves the delamination problems between the layers that similar doypacks, made with polylaminated materials, often present due to the chemical aggressiveness of the products contained.

Product and potential markets. Doypack for the Home & Personal Care market, with possible applications also in the food sector as Puro Mono Film is food contact compliant.

Design. Stand up spouted pouch

Sustainability. The recyclability of the product is defined through simulation in the tool, available on line, on Recyclass website, obtaining a recyclability rate of 99.4%. The product can be collected, at the end of its use, in the polyolefin materials collection flow, guaranteeing correct disposal in accordance with a circular economy scheme. Puro Mono Film, being a refill package, reduces approximately 2/3 of the plastic used per liter compared to the plastic bottle.
