Ecomondo 2024
A benchmark event for the ecological transition in Italy and the Mediterranean, Ecomondo, organised by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), offers an opportunity for the sharing and joint development of policies regarding the European Green Deal, during which scientists, decision-makers, the business community and professionals from the sector will be discussing the challenges and opportunities linked to environmental policies and the circular economy. Delegations from more than 120 countries and over 60 international business organisations are expected to attend the event in Rimini.
A calendar packed with sustainability ideas.
The programme boasts impressive breadth and depth, with conferences, seminars and encounters exploring the main new developments in terms of sustainability in a variety of strategic sectors. To mention a few:
- One of the most important conferences of the event will be “Good circular economy practices regarding WEEE, Battery Waste and Packaging Waste: from regulatory developments to the presentation of industrial case histories”, organised by Ecomondo’s Technical and Scientific Community and by Erion, which, by looking into the best circular economy practices, will be focusing on waste management optimisation and the opportunities offered by the new regulations (Packaging Regulation, Battery Regulation, CRM Act and the revision of the WEEE Directive).
- Within the framework of the 13th edition of the General Assembly of the Green Economy, a specific in-depth session will focus on “Current trends in urban waste management and updates regarding new regulations for local administrations”, organised by Green City Network and CONAI (the Italian National Packaging Consortium).
- The programme will also feature an event focused on Critical Raw Materials, examining the situation regarding the set-up of the first platform for the circular economy of critical raw materials.
