From food to logistics: LM Group’s versatile solutions
Sortech and Belt Curves Conveyor serving automation also in sorting, distribution and shipment centres.
On the back of its leadership in the field of handling complex products, LM has directed a number of its cutting-edge technologies, customarily dedicated to the food & beverage sector, also to the logistics context, a constantly growing sector following the surge in e-commerce.
We are referring to Sortech, a product in the Marpatech range (an LM Group brand), and to Belt Curves Conveyor.
Sortech is a multidirectional distribution system that makes it possible to sort packages of very varied dimensions, shapes and weights, towards a significant number of exits, with considerable precision regarding the position and orientation of the product, all at a speed of up to 1.6 m/s. Its versatility in handling also products of very irregular shape makes Sortech the sorting system best suited to large distribution centres.
The Belt Curves Conveyor are offered in the “plastic mesh” version for beverages, ideal for heavy loads and high-speeds, and in the “cylindrical end rollers for food” version (confectionery and bakery first and foremost). LM has developed a line of belt curves conveyor that combines robustness and speed (up to 3m/s) and small end rollers for the correct transfer of light and small-size products.
The solutions stand out, moreover, for reliability and easy maintenance, qualities for which LM is well-known throughout the world.
