AMB buys the UK firm TDX
Food packaging. The agreement brings together the expertise of two market-leading companies, which present themselves as a genuine “one-stop-shop” and with a complete offer: from the prototyping of the packaging to the production of the plastic film in the perspective of a circular economy. Four logistics and production locations, for a total of 430 employees.

With the signing of the agreement on June 27 in Newcastle (England), the Italian AMB SpA (San Daniele del Friuli, Udine), among the first European producers of rigid and flexible plastic films, has acquired TDX (Europe) Limited of Newcastle, leader in the British market in the design and advanced prototyping of PET and RPET packaging (recycled and not recycled polyethylene terephthalate).
It is an agreement based on the complementary nature of the two companies and which gives life to a single point of contact: the combination of design and custom prototyping with solvent-free water-based printing technology and the experience of half a century in the production of safe and sustainable food packaging will allow the two companies to create a complete offer for food packaging, offering a complete “end-to-end” service.
AMB and TDX will have 4 European sites - including the AMB headquarters in San Daniele and the new Amaro plant (Udine) inaugurated in 2017 - and will be able to count on an international production and logistics network of over 430 employees. Together the two companies reach a turnover of over 150 million euros.
