Atag and Geartec together for growth
Now fully operational the agreement that has the ATAG and the Geartec Group collaborate actively, under the banner of an exchange of skills, which will lead to the expansion of the respective product ranges and to exploiting economies of scale both in terms of costs and commercial and industrial synergies in the world of elastomers and technopolymers.
ATAG acquired a 40% stake in Geartec, with the option of reaching 50% over three years, for a total investment of over one million euros.
Signed at the end of 2017, the agreement was announced to the press at Ipack-Ima 2018, allowing the two companies not only offer a few months of experience and work together, but to reaffirm the centrality of the world of food packaging in the development of business, by virtue of a collaboration that opens up new developments (and which will lead to an estimated growth of at least 10% over the next 3 years, favoring consolidation on foreign markets, Northern Europe first and foremost).
The two companies, that will maintain their separate brands, share investment programs, such as the upgrading (by the end of 2018) of the Geartec milling department for micromachining.

had a similar tone: «Also for Geartec, the entry into the ATAG group means an important articulation of the offer, which is based on ATAG’s specialisation as a manufacturer of technical articles in plastic and rubber, unique in terms of variety and quality, even for high-tech industrial sectors».
