The 4.0 ecosystem on show

The entire galaxy of digital technology on display at the eighth edition of SPS Italia, which is confirmed as the key national event for company digital transformation, an ideal setting for an exchange on the most current issues and challenges of the industry of tomorrow, from automation to the Cloud going by way of artificial intelligence.

The fair organized by Messe Frankfurt Italia closed with figures on the increase:  35.188 visitors (+ 6% on 2017) and 808 exhibitors (+ 9.5% on 2017). Successful hence the choice of a format focused on content and skills, to emphasize the pressing need for the conjunction of the world of production and that of IT technologies.
 
A healthy sector. The clear satisfaction for the results achieved on the field expressed by Donald Wich, AD Messe Frankfurt Italy, is accompanied by the optimism of Fabrizio Scovenna (President of Anie Automazione) for the current economic situation: the important recovery in investments, favored by the Industry 4.0 plan, has in fact led the automation sector to grow by 13.5% in a year, with a turnover that is heading towards 5 billion euros. And if, in Europe, Italy remains the most important market after Germany, in the world it is second only to the United States and China. The sector, which therefore enjoys excellent health, is largely export-oriented.
