Green Glass for sustainable cosmetics

Zignago Vetro group has always placed its focus on the environment and eco-sustainable development.

All necessary electric energy is generated renewably from a biomass plant and solar photovoltaic panels.
The enviromental commitment of Zignago Vetro Group also extends to its product range with the introduction of a new recycled green glass container for the cosmetic market (see photo).
The strength of this solution, presented at Cosmopack 2017, is the use of up to 90% recycled glass (with up to 75% post-consumer recycled glass).
This dark green glass offers natural UV protection up to 99% (between 350-450nm).  Worth stressing, finally, is the reduction of CO2 emissions by as much as 36% for the dark green production of the same item compared to its white version.
