New generation display pallet

In response to the need for efficiency and sustainability, as well as economic and environmental needs, Chep (pallet and container pooling) has developed a new type of plastic display pallet, available from July 2014 on the German market.

Called Chep P0604B, it replaces the previous Chep P0604A, measuring 600x400 mm and allows better stacking, handling and stability; Moreover, the locking system facilitates the faster and more secure connection to the customers’ corrugated cardboard display. Chep P0604B has been tested and validated by independent institutions such as the Fraunhofer Institute, and is certified according to the GS (Geprüfte Sicherheit) standards.
With its low weight (1.9 kg versus 2.1 kg) and contained height, it can be loaded on trucks in stacks of 36 units as against the preceding 30, with more than 20% space saving on trucks, a reduction in number of vehicles and lower CO2 emissions. Meanwhile, in Italy Ferrarelle has renewed its contract with Chep for another three years regarding the handling of about 1 million pallets on the Italian domestic market.
