Adhesives: safety and continuous feed
Developed by Robatech, RobaFeedTM is a completely integrated and automated feed system for adhesives in granulate form that enables continuous filling of the melting tank while guaranteeing high work safety standards.
The advantages of the new RobaFeedTM automatic filling system can be summarized in the concept of “greater efficiency and safety at low cost”. With this recent development, Robatech focuses once again on the needs and interests of users, demonstrating at the same time its own competencies in the field of adhesive application systems and particular attention to the all-too-relevant social and environmental issues involved.
Efficient production. RobaFeed™, innovative in many ways, is adapted for filling the melting tank produced by Robatech by transporting the adhesive in granulate form from a separate container. The system is controlled by a sensor monitoring the level of the melting tank. The granulates are moved by a suction tube inserted into the adhesive container. The integrated Venturi-effect system creates negative pressure in order to enable transport of the granules; suction is facilitated by a vibration device mounted to the suction tube.
If the level drops below the set minimum, then the sensor sends a signal to the integrated control, which triggers the filling cycle. The loader keeps under control the reserve of adhesive available in the tank and controls the filling process.
The constantly maintained operational temperature, necessary for continuous filling, represents a further advantage. In case of failure, the system automatically shuts down, activating the corresponding error message. Periods of inactivity, due to an empty or too full tank, then, become a thing of the past, with significant savings of time and costs, and the process is thus optimized.
More work and more safety. RobaFeed™ makes a significant contribution to improving safety standards by preventing contact between the user and the melted glue thanks to the closed, automatic filling of the tank.
Furthermore, the work environment itself is imporoved: since the air fed into the tank during the filling process is contaminated by fumes released by the melting glue, it is re-introduced into the environment through a special carbon filter capable of removing every noxious particle.
