Modular roller conveyors: a world premiere
At the Hannover Messe (7th-11th April 2014) Elesa SpA presents its new line of modular idle roller conveyors.
Elesa’s new idle roller conveyroes have been devised to easily and speedily implement slider or containment beds, and are used in various applications including storage and retrieval systems as well as packaging machines.
The sliding elements, which constitute the main components, are available in roller or ball bearing versions. The roller elements (RLT-U) are made of polyamide based black techno polymers, which provide a high load capacity, or in grey thermoplastic polythene, particularly suited to the handling of delicate products, which have anti-trace characteristics and a high bump and crash resistance. The bearing elements (RPT-S), however are in white acetal resin, and are ideal
for omni-directional movement. The assembly of the components in the special anodized aluminum profiles is made particularly easy by the special section of the profile, which enables joining without the need for screws or other fasteners. This feature enables the easy replacement of the Elesa rollers without having to remove them entirely, while also enabling the reuse of the aluminum profile.
The special technical performance of the materials used for the components what is more enables friction to be minimised, favoring smooth, quiet operativity, and eliminating the need of maintenance work in order to apply lubricants. Another important quality of these products is the high resistance to bending under load, guaranteed by the carrier profile of anodized aluminum, which allows the installation of the rollers even in conditions of partial support and without the need for additional carriers. Elesa roller conveyores adapt to different applications thanks to the wide range of polyamide based technopolymer modular accessories (from brakes to containment sides, from the heads to supports and brackets ...) that help to improve the positioning, functionality and safety of the same.
Elesa, specialized in the production of standardized components in plastic and metal for the mechanical engineering industry, was set up in Monza in 1941 and today operates in over 60 countries worldwide, with 11 direct subsidiaries exporting 60% of its output.
