Specialty papers: Burgo consolidates

From January 1st, 2014, Burgo Group will incorporate the activities of its “Mosaico” Specialty Papers division into its fully proprietary company Mosaico Srl.

The new company will continue to dedicate maximum attention to the development, production and sale of specialty papers, which are used for a wide range of different applications requiring specialized knowhow: papers for flexible packaging, self-adhesive labels and wet glue, specialty graphic papers and cards. The new company will include the facilities in Chiampo, Lugo, Treviso and Tolmezzo, with an total annual capacity of approximately 300,000 t and a workforce of 850. Lorenzo Marzotto, former vice-president of the Mosaico Specialty Papers division, has been named CEO of Mosaico Srl. With this strategic decision, Burgo Group continues to pursue the objective of strengthening and enhancing its presence in the specialty papers market.
