Tribute to Alfio
Acceleration by Stefano Lavorini
January 2nd 2013 Corsico (MI) witnessed the funeral of Alfio Gianatti, CEO of Cicrespi SpA, who in just a few months succumbed to a serious illness.
Many attended, all united by a sincere, deeply-felt grief, in what was truly a choral ceremony, that had its truest and most touching moment when his wife Liliana, daughter Silvia, his niece, friends and colleagues bore testimony with a surprising unanimity to the qualities of the man.
Without rhetoric, the words said in one voice rendered up to those present the profile of a father and a professional who gave much to those close by him, at home and in the company.
Alfio has also been for us at ItaliaImballaggio a sturdy point of reference for his skills and knowledge and his humanity.
His ironic intelligence, never conventional, and his curiosity were precious to us, all traits that led him to look beyond appearances, his love of life that allowed him to play down even the most difficult situations.
He was a sensible person, light, though anything but superficial, extrovert; a keen observer, as ever straight out and gently mannered as befitting a friend, he enjoyed good company, good food and other people’s capacity.
He possessed the instinct, the heart and the strength and resistance of a fighter, ever aware of the risks in a challenge, but also of the beauty of life.
But Alfio was aboveall interested in people: and it is for this very reason that we bitterly miss him the most and we find consolation in the strong sentiment with which he was always able to involve us as a true man.
A man who will live on in our memories.
