In mid-January 2016 Cosmografica Albertini SpA formalized the purchase of Industrie Grafiche Servi (Busto Arsizio, VA).
This is an important step in the growth process undertaken by the manufacturer of high end folding cartons and cases for cosmetics and perfumery that, now being able to count on the expertise of Grafiche Servi in the printing of cases for the pharmaceutical industry, has created its Pharma Division. Hence, having enhanced its offer by expanding its range of products, Cosmografica Albertini looks optimistically to the future with good growth prospects, already supported by the facts and figures of recent years: having centered all its objectives, in particular on foreign markets (the presence of its sales subsidiary in France can be seen to be decisive for the cosmetics sector, Ed), in 2014 the company had a turnover of 9.5 million euros, that grew to 11 million in 2015, to which Grafiche Servi 3 millions can now be added, totalling a figure of some 16 million euros in 2016.
Its history and the present. Founded in Milan in 1952 as Grafiche Albertini, it has merged with Cosmografica of Cinisello Balsamo, moving to its current headquarters in Robecco sul Naviglio, taking the first major step towards building up to today’s size. The works, recently expanded, have a cutting edge machine tool yard, further enhanced with the purchase of new equipment to improve both the production flow and the quality of the work environment (themes these very dear to company CEO Emilio Albertini).
With the new purchase, Cosmografica Albertini can practically count on two production units. Grafiche Servi can in fact boast a considerable machine yard (a 7 color Roland 70x100 double coater, a Bobst die cutter and two gluer-folders) and despite the bankruptcy procedure underway, the newly purchased organization has managed to maintain business continuity to ensure pharma customers that indispensable level of certified quality.
The bid submitted by Cosmografica Albertini SpA was considered more convincing over that of other companies thanks to the special attention reserved by Cosmografica Albertini to former Grafiche Servi employees: In fact the company has re-employed 22 out of 33 the staff already laid off and on redundancy pay since December 2015.
