Gerosa celebrates

Inverigo 3 October 2015. Cellografica Gerosa, the headquarters of Gerosa Group, hosted the celebrations for the group’s 80th year in operation, 80 years of quality and growth in the flexible packaging sector.
The open day was one of sharing and light-hearted fun, with particular attention to employees’ children, who enjoyed games, creative workshops and classic snacks (plenty of cotton candy and Nutella on bread…).
The uncertain times didn’t stop the 700 visitors from enjoying guided tours of the facility and, especially, the images displayed in the exhibition “80 years of passion for packaging”, a journey through the history of the concern set up for the occasion, where current employees were able to recognize friends and relatives from times gone by.
This is because Gerosa has always been a concern with strong ties to its local area and people, and has offered an entire town a chance to prosper, according to the wishes of founders Luigi and Giuseppe Gerosa, which have never been let go by the family of business owners.
The attendance of local government officials and representatives of Unindustria Como at the open day underlined this aptitude for management, in addition to paying tribute to the Lombard concern’s capacity for industry.
Indeed, as a leading producer of flexible packaging – an international organization with five converting sites and five commercial subsidiaries across Europe - the Gerosa Group is on its way to closing 2015 with +10% growth and an estimated turnover of approximately 170 million euro (25% of which from the German market).
Exports also grew by 13% during the first semester of this year, and the concern is announcing further investments in technology and reducing its environmental impact, which will make it possible for it to reach the set goal of 200 million euro in turnover over the next three years.
