A creative sliding box
The British packaging designer Burgopak and the US K1-Packaging Group announce a partnership to bring the former’s patented dual-sliding packaging system to the States.
This solution, developed by Burgopak founder Burgo Wharton, will be introduced as an impactful system for packaging nutraceutical products.
The basic idea behind this system is inspired by children’s pop-up books. All elements of the packaging are integrated in a single structure and operated by an ingenious mechanism. Pulling on a tab extracts the contents held in the die in sliding containers (blisters, bag-in-box etc.), and as if by magic, a paper tab pops out, on which is printed the product information (replacing the traditional leaflet).
There are remarkable advantages to this compact and functional box: the contents are not separable from the packaging, and thus cannot be forgotten or lost once taken out. Furthermore, as an optional, it is possible to print informational graphics directly on the blisters (for example for scheduling pill administration): a packaging with a structure that maintains its integrity, including for the purposes of communication.
