Nestlé overhauls its mineral water division
The Swiss group Nestlé has decided to cease independent operation of its mineral water arm Nestlé Waters and integrate the various brands (San Pellegrino, Levissima, Panna and the French brand Perrier) into the group’s three geographical zones: America; Europe, Middle-East and North Africa (EMENA); and Asia-Oceania-Sub-Saharan Africa.
The announcement was made the day Nestlé released its nine-month results for 2019, which revealed fairly disappointing organic revenue growth for Nestlé Water (+0.5% compared to the +3.7% of the group as a whole).
The Swiss giant’s total revenues amounted to €62.2 billion (+2.9%), driven by sales growth in the United State and a strong performance in the petcare segment.
