Arca Continental announces investments of €610 million

The Mexican company Arca Continental (listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange), one of the top Coca-Cola bottlers in the world, has announced that it plans to invest Ps. 13 billion (more than €610 million) in 2019.

This large investment will serve to increase production capacity and generate innovation in the beverage and food & snack divisions.

Of the total amount, close to 35% (Ps. 4.6 billion) will be allocated to Mexico, 39% (Ps. 5 billion) to operations in the US (including Ps. 3 billion to the new production facility in Houston) and 26% (Ps. 3.4 billion) to South America. In 2018, Arca Continental’s sales reached Ps. 159 million (€7.5 million), corresponding to a 14% increase year-over-year.

EBITDA also saw significant growth (+5.7%). As well as Coca-Cola Company beverages, the group also produces, distributes, and markets non-alcoholic beverages under the Bokados brand in Mexico, Inalecsa in Ecuador, and Wise and Deep River in the United States.
