Danone Group posts total revenues of €24.7 billion, including €4.6 billion generated by sales of mineral water
The Danone group reported consolidated sales of €24.7 million in 2018.
In the mineral water segment, where the group ranks as the world’s second largest producer in terms of bottled water volumes after Nestlé Waters, it posted revenues of €4.6 billion (19% of the total) and 5.3% growth in net sales compared to 2017.
China, Indonesia and France were the countries that saw the biggest growth in sales, although the group also performed strongly in the United States. There was significant, if smaller, growth in Asia, driven mainly by the strong performance in Indonesia.
Danone’s three biggest-selling bottled water brands are Mizone (China), Aqua (leader in Indonesia) and Evian (mineral water sourced in the French Alps and sold in over 140 countries worldwide).
The group also owns other brands including: Volvic in France and Europe, Hayat (Turkey), Zywiec Zdroj (Poland), Fonte Vella (Spain), Bonafonte (Mexico) and Villavicencio and Villa del Sur (Argentina).
