SPS IPC Drive

More exhibitors and an estimated 15% increase in exhibition space, compared to the already more than promising 2012 edition (which itself saw 30% growth). What’s new at SPS 2013? A focus on end users.

Two months from opening and for the third consecutive year, SPS IPC Drives (at Fiere di Parma this upcoming May 21st, until the 23d) confirms its satisfaction with the choice of Messe Frankfurt, which sought to transfer to Italy a German model of “custom” event tailored to the necessities of Italy’s industrial automation sector.
Of course, mutatis mutandi, this tailor made fair has been welcomed with gusto by exhibitors and visitors (who numbered more than 14,000 in 2012).
The keys to this success can be found in the care with which the organization sought to satisfy the needs of market operators, in the variety of projects developed and in the organizers’ many investments in communication.

“Let’s Work Together” is the motto of the SPS Team, which demonstrates its commitment to this credo in its daily practice and in its relations with exhibitors, resulting in common projects and a continuous exchange of information «Because - explains Francesca Selva, Vice President of Messe Frankfurt Italia and Exhibitor Director of SPS IPC Drives Italia - only with the effective help and cooperation of diverse professions and skills can important and long-lasting projects be carried out».

What’s new? The 2013 edition focuses on end users with the project “We Love Our Customer”, a part of which consisted in choosing to dedicate a day and a space to the Food&Beverage sector, with its crosscutting issues, as relevant to end users as to system integrators and machine manufacturers. A round table discussion will be dedicated to this field, scheduled for the third day of the fair and organized in collaboration with Fiere di Parma, further demonstrating the important role played by Parma in the Italian and international food industries.
Among other projects featured at the fair-event are: the “LinkingUniversity”, dedicated specifically to academia; “System Integrator on Demand”, for bringing together suppliers of products and technologies and system integrators, and “Innovation Research” designed to bring visibility to university startups and spin-offs.
