Super coating for quality water

Thus, after two years of testing, a new coating technology that keeps the carbonation longer, even in stressful climatic and transport conditions, has been introduced for the first time onto the mineral water market. This is San Pellegrino’s latest R&D achievement, a barrier coating in the coming years will also be extended to the larger formats, to protect the quality of a premium product distributed in over 120 countries. Without neglecting eco-compatibility: bottles treated with this technology are 100% recyclable, the company also aims to lighten the weight of the same by 17%, thus reducing material and energy consumption and environmental emissions. To apply the coating, two KHS Plasmax systems have been installed at the San Pellegrino Terme works (BG).
