The Private Labels in Bologna
The own branding fair Marca was held on 14 and 15 January 2015, registering growth in figures compared to the previous edition: 6,886 professional visitors (+4.3%) and 481 exhibitors (+6%).
On the increase aboveall the presence of international buyers of important leading retailers from the US, Russia, Germany and Canada, with which 564 B2B meetings were organized. The event was marked by business meetings, reports, debates and workshops, including the “Tech Brand Packaging Focus” dedicated to technological innovations capable of protecting and preserving the product lifespan, consumer health and environmental sustainability. During the fair the 11th Distributor Brand Report was presented, carried out by Adem Lab-University of Parma, which shows that in 2014 the share of private labels stabilized at around 18% and that that distributor brand products are sold at an average price around 30% lower than that of the big brands.
