Ecomondo 2015

Dedicated to the green economy, where the recovery of packaging plays a major role, the show pushes the accelerator on innovation and internationality.

 

The event features more than 1,200 exhibiting companies, organized over 16 halls, highlighting the core sector of waste treatment and recycling, with a focus on the biobased industry and green chemistry. This year also sees a new area called Global Water Expo and dedicated to the integrated water cycle, the sewage network and efficiency technologies, which together account for an industry showing rapid growth.This year too Ecomondo intersperses exhibition and conference areas, fielding a program of events that starts with the concrete needs of enterprises and the new frontiers of eco-innovation, and goes on to consider the opportunities of access to EU programs to fund the green economy. The program is supervised by a high-profile Scientific Committee, coordinated by Professor Fabio Fava, Professor of Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology of the Alma Mater Studiorum School of Engineering and Architecture (University of Bologna). Of particular interest to the world of packaging, the event organized by CONAI for Thursday, November 5, dedicated to the circular economy, with its problems and opportunities, and strategies for its implementation in Italy.Hence ambitious the projects fielded by the organizers aiming also at further increasing record attendance rates: over the past five years the public at the fair has almost doubled and in 2014 went beyond the 100 thousand visitors mark.
