Between processing and packaging, the technological innovations of MG2

With a complete range of solutions for pharmaceutical processing and packaging, MG2 was among the protagonists of Achema 2018 - a reference window for technological innovation in the sector - where it has confirmed itself as a sole interlocutor able to satisfy various needs.

World leader in the production of capsule fillers, solutions for filling capsules with solid and liquid drugs, automatic machines for packaging and end of line, the Bologna-based MG2 presented international visitors of Achema 2018 a vast portfolio of state-of-the-art solutions for the world of pharmaceutical processing & packaging, which stand out for their excellent construction standards, based on reliability, quality, precision and production effectiveness.
Under the spotlight, among the solutions of the Process division, we cite  the FlexaLab laboratory capsule filler (see photo), in a containment version with washing system, the only one able to reach a class OEB5 level of containment. Equipped with an integrated weight control system, the machine achieves reading accuracy very difficult to find on the market.
Also on show the Planeta capsule filler, overhauled with an eye to Industry 4.0, with a new HMI panel and interface. The new model provides the ideal response to the needs of customers looking for “flexibility”, both in terms of machine speed (with production capacities from 6,000-12,000-25,000-50,000-100,000 capsules/hour) and the possibility of dosing and related weight controls.

Expanding the outlet markets
A concrete example of how MG2 can offer machines with alternating movements designed also for nutraceuticals, but not only, we cite AlterNova, now presented with a new design.
Attention was also focused on the SELEKTA weigher and stand-alone sorter for tablets and capsules, equipped with the exclusive MultiNETT capacitive system.
Important news also from the area dedicated to the Packaging division, where the Bologna-based company presented two world previews: the new intermittent cartoning machine and the first MG2 blistering machine, which represent a tangible sign of the constant search for new growth sectors, and the commitment to conquer new and broader market portions.
