Bio packaging for Coop Sweden

A new pack for biological berries best interprets the principles of environmental sustainability so dear to Sweden’s largest retailer.

It is a container made with Invercote Bio, the virgin carton fibre proposed by Iggesund, extrusion coated in biodegradable, compostable Novamont Mater-Bi®.
Thanks to this coating, at end of consumption the pack can be collected together with the organic waste and conferred to the composting plants. From a technical point of view this responds to a double challenge: find a material that could be extruded with good results, and an adhesive also efficient in the difficult ambient conditions of fridges.
