Coding medium-small batches of cases

In response to the traceability needs of the pharmaceutical sector, printing on cases and packages of a series of variable information (lot, date, 2D code etc.) is resolved directly on the packaging lines.

However, if it is necessary to code small to medium batches, the operation is more practical if carried out off-line. By the way, Wide Range has developed some ideal solutions, based on WR FEEDER, a friction feeder for sheets, labels, boxes and coupons in formats up to 250x300 mm with the 250 version, or 400 x 300 mm with the 400 version. A powerful stepper motor guarantees a feeding speed of up to 70 m/min.

The feed selection uses rubber counter-rotating rollers with micro adjustments on both the left and right side, which make the feeder extremely flexible for any type of product. A 300 mm-high, large-capacity tray with minimum load control ensures great autonomy.

WR FEEDER is equipped with an HP inkjet marker for variable data such as date, time, barcodes, and texts up to a maximum height from 12 to 100 mm, with a resolution of 600 dpi.

The software installed on the PC allows the creation of the text in an extremely intuitive way.

After printing, as an optional element, vision systems are available to check the correct execution of the print and its completeness with automatic stop in the event of non-conforming cases.
