Lighter and performing cardboard

Stora Enso is reducing the basis weight of its Tambrite packaging board, with the objective of improving its efficiency and environmental impact at the same time.

Thanks to recent developments in fact, machinability, rigidity, graphic  yield and performance in the packaging phase are at the same high quality.
Wellknown to all the paper converting concerns of all Europe, Tambrite is widely used in pharmaceutical  and food packaging, the packaging of chocolates and confectionery in general. The reduction of the basis weight will bring benefits to the entire chain, generating savings in raw material, a better warehouse management advantages in transportation, less waste and, consequently, a reduction of costs and environmental impact. At the same time, the producer ensures, the new lighter Tambrite will guarantee the performance required in the most demanding applications, for example in pharmaceutical packaging with laser or inkjet or Braille embossment coders.
