A marking solution for the extrusion sector

Markem-Imaje expands its range of small character inkjet solutions with a new reference: the new 9232E, designed to meet the specific needs of the extrusion sector. The company thus confirms its commitment to offering high performance, cost reduction and respect for the environment.

Flagship of Markem-Imaje Series 9000 the 9232 printer has been on the market for less than two years and has already won over many customers. Created to print expiry dates, logos, alphanumeric text and 1D and 2D barcodes for different sectors (from agrifood and beverage to pharmaceuticals, from cosmetics to electronics) with continuous inkjet technology, the series has now been enhanced with the model 9232E, specifically designed for the extrusion sector.
The extra features. The 9232E marking solution adds some new features to the performance of 9232, making it ideal for meeting the needs of most demanding customers: it enables optimal, clear management of printing operations, thereby improving cost control, environmental impact, print results and the timing of operator activities.

With print speeds of up to 1,000 m/min, depending on the application extrusion speed, it can be used on many substrates, including PVC, Teflon, silicon, and is equipped with a full range of migration free pigmented inks. It prints with a wide variety of characters and enables the obtaining of high quality logos, thanks to the up to 32 dot font size offered. It also includes a counting and measuring devices with a tolerance of 2/1000.

Optimised printing operations are ensured by an advanced message management systems, which includes metric measurement, control, tolerance control, interlaced messages and real-time changes of the messages under production. The 7-inch color touchscreen monitors basic parameters in real time such as print autonomy, consumption and printer availability. Downtime is minimal due to the rapid replacement of consumables and the automatic nozzle cleaning system; the installation phase is particularly easy, thanks to the possibility of mounting the machine on shelves or vertical supports.
In line with the standards assured by the 9232, the 9232E stands out for its reliability: it has a 99.6% availability of use ratio and is equipped with a IP56 standard stainless steel cabinet. The marking machine comes with an 18 month warranty, that can be extended up to 5 years.
 
The savings. In the design phase special care has been paid to the reduction of maintenance costs: ink cartridge life has been extended, enabling printing of up to 90 million characters per litre in standard mode; additive consumption can be reduced down to 4.2 ml/h at 20 °C and no plant air facilities are required.
Environmentally friendly, the 9232E is more than 80% comprised of recyclable materials and is equipped with electric power reduced to 60 VA, enabling lower electricity consumption.
