New High Resolution Micro-CIJ Printers
High-quality “micro” codes, better legibility of the characters up to a minimum of 0.6 mm in height, printed at speeds of up to 348 meters per minute: these the performances of the two new Continuous Ink Jet (CIJ) printers launched by Videojet as part of its 1000 Series.
The High Resolution (HR) Micro-Printers Videojet 1650 and 1620 use special 40 micron nozzles that enable the print of perfectly legible barcodes and two-dimensional multi-line alphanumeric codes at high speeds on integrated circuits, small diameter cables and on all products that have a limited printing area, thereby optimizing traceability without compromising line productivity.
The nozzles exploit the patented Precision Ink Drop™ Videojet technology that, thanks to the advanced design of the high frequency printhead, allows the delivery of more than 100,000 drops per second, while sophisticated software algorithms enable the path of every drop to be changed and ensure optimal code quality. Moreover, the CleanFlow™ technology used reduces the accumulation of ink at the ends of the nozzles.
Both printers use a wide range of special halogen free inks, resistant to abrasion and chemicals, that enable their safe use in harsh environments or in special temperature conditions.
Like the rest of the 1000 Series, these printers are equipped with Smart Cartridge™, the fluid distribution system that ensures the proper use of the ink for each specific product, avoiding errors and facilitating the operations of electronics-, cable and wire manufacturers who use multiple types of inks.
