Creating layout? An art…
… for optimising packaging. The experience of Prl Tecnosoft, which is transforming transport systems for handling loose and packaged products into complex and efficient machines.
True to the approach that has marked the company’s evolution – well summed-up in the motto “many solutions, a unique partner” - Prl Tecnosoft has acquired enviable expertise over the years in developing both new layouts and in optimizing existing layouts, arriving at integrating third-party and partner machines (recently also the coding, labelling, inspection and control systems of Nimax, Ed.).
Handling in the future. We can start from a given fact: constant technological innovation makes it possible to create ever faster and better-performing process and packaging machines. In order for the entire production line to maintain required standards, however, it’s important not to underestimate the crucial role of the transport system that feeds the different machines and manages the accumulation of products in the event of machine stoppage.
Today’s transport system, in fact, cannot be considered as merely a series of conveyor belts, but a complex system, in which high-speed unifiers and sorters and timing systems are increasingly used, allowing for quality control and compliance operations, besides solutions for the accumulation of products and their subsequent reintroduction into the line.
All this must be inserted, moreover, into the spaces available, often inside already-existing structures and systems; it’s in this phase that technical know-how and also creativity comes into play, with the aim of creating an optimal, safe and high-performance production layout. PRL offers, for example, configurable and customisable, but above all, reliable Ambiflex spiral elevating conveyors, thanks to which it’s possible to create passageways for operators.
The Brescia-based company PRL is preparing to transfer to a more spacious site by summer 2024, with all the expectations and apprehensions that such a change implies, betting once again on its future and, above all, on the expertise of a team that knows how to develop first-rate systems.
