Self-adhesive stickers on cases

The Proget Sistem Italia (Cormano, MI) received a request to place round stickers identifying the article in a specific and centered position on cosmetics cases.

The manufacturer hence designed a customised system consisting of a new generation model Collamat EC 4310 label applicator with stepper motor and of 350 mm roll holder (for precision applications with a tolerance of 0.4 mm).

How it works. The cases are continuously fed onto the conveyor belt and guides convey them under the applicator; a spacing device stops the products and regulates the alternate production cycle.
The label posing unit picks up the label, applying it to a pneumatic suction cup.

The production of labeled boxes is about 1,500 pieces/hour, with the possibility of increasing the volume through a spacing selector device. The entire system is managed by two control units, one of which, via a PLC, reports the abnormalities of pre-end roll and any breakage of the label supply strip.
The solenoid electrical control system governs the entire procedure, part of the wide range of special solutions developed by the company.
