ATS tracking offers control on dispensing operations
To the numerous operators visiting their Ipack-Ima stand, Nordson showed and illustrated the new ATS (Adhesive Tracking System) technology, designed to guarantee “perfect control of adhesive consumption” during production.
Beyond the fact that the ATS device is easily integrated and manageable through the machine PLC, it also  enables  tolerance limits of the dispensed adhesive to be set which, if exceeded, trigger an audible alarm or block the line ...
A great advantage to system users who can calculate the actual consumption of adhesive, track the consumption history and any anomalies, as well as intervening directly, in case of variations from the values preset in the machine, all of this in real time.
With the ATS tracking system you can therefore better manage the consumption of hot-melt adhesive, optimizing operations by also using the Problue Liberty tankless fuser. In this case, the “Instant Fusion” function enables the combining of productivity, energy saving, efficiency, lower system management costs but, above all, the minimisation of the formation of carbonised adhesive, which is an additional guarantee of safety for the operators, who thus do not run the risk of burns from direct contact with hot glue.

Spotlight on Starter-kit and Sapphire XP
Also on display at the Nordson stand, the integration system called Starter-kit, in line with the market demands and the guiding principles of Industry 4.0, as well as the extremely fast electric actuator Sapphire XP, ideal in primary processes for the application of highly intermittent dots and with activation speed lower than 0.5 ms.
We note that, at the recent edition of Ipack-Ima, Nordson received great appreciation for the quality of its products as never before, products that are  in line with the highest technological standards, but the company was also praised for its highly efficient and capillary world-class assistance.
