Variable data with heat transfer
Allen Coding launches two entry-level thermal transfer printer for a quality reproduction of variable data with a cost saving of up to 40%. Other salient features: performance in real time with support for Unicode True Type fonts and variable data printing in over 125 languages.
The additions to the XL line are called 53XLc and 25 Xli, and allow the printing of variable data on packaging, forming, filling and as well as vertical and horizontal sealing lines. In particular, they enable the printing of barcodes/2D data matrix codes, indications such as expiration dates, batch numbers, date/time of manufacture, source codes, and more, on a wide variety of packaging substrates, including bags, pillow-pack packaging, bottles/vials, boxes, trays, blister packs, pouches and sachets.
The 25XLi uses mini-ribbon for precise printing in small areas (up to 32 x 40 mm), while the 53XLc is equipped with a special ribbon saving mechanism which guarantees minimum empty spaces between the labels, enabling a 50% reduction in ribbon waste.
