Campari and Intercos Group join forces to fight the pandemic
Campari and Intercos Group are teaming up to produce hydro-alcoholic gel hand cleansers for healthcare workers in hospitals in Italy’s Lombardy region who are at the forefront of the fight against the Covid-19 emergency.
Campari Group, one of the major global players in the spirits sector, has decided to join forces with Intercos Group, a leader in the development and production of cosmetic products.
Alcohol donated by Campari has been transformed and bottled at the Intercos Group’s Cosmint plant in Olgiate Comasco to produce an initial batch of 15,000 bottles of hand sanitising gel.
The Intercos Group has been battling the Covid-19 emergency for months, first at its Chinese plants and now in Europe and the USA, and knows very well the importance of supporting local healthcare professionals.
“We are proud to provide our formulas and production capacity to join Campari Group in this initiative,” commented Renato Semerari, Intercos Group CEO.
Campari Group and Intercos will also handle finished product logistics to ensure that the sanitising gels are delivered where they are most urgently needed.
