Campari in talks to acquire Champagne Lallier
Campari has entered into exclusive negotiations with the French holding company Sarl Ficoma, owned by Francis Tribaut, for the initial acquisition of an 80% stake followed in the medium term by ownership of the entire share capital of Sarl Champagne Lallier and other group companies.
This will be the first time an Italian company has entered the champagne sector.
With this acquisition, Campari Group will add the historic premium brand Lallier to its portfolio, further extending its range of premium offerings in a key channel for brand building activities.
Sarl Ficoma sold around 1 million bottles of champagne in 2019, including nearly 700,000 bottles of Lallier, primarily in on-premise stores and wine shops.
The transaction scope includes the brands, related stocks, real estate assets including owned and operated vineyards, and production facilities.
