Marchesini Group invests in the beauty segment

Marchesini Group is preparing for the expected post-pandemic surge in demand for makeup products with the opening of its Beauty Division, a new 5,000 square metre facility built at the headquarters in Pianoro to house the offices and production department of the Group’s entire cosmetics division.

The new division, headed by Lorenzo Gatti, will also incorporate the newly acquired company Cosmatic specialising in lipstick production and cosmetic powder filling processes, as well as the brands Dumek, Axomatic and V2 engineering, all three of which have been acquired in the last three years with the aim of expanding the group’s range of packaging solutions for cosmetic products.

The acquisition of Brianza-based company Cosmatic will enable the Marchesini Group to expand its know-how in a segment that uses some of the most complex technologies in the industry, such as equipment for processing lipstick paste and pouring it into cooled silicone moulds of different shapes and sizes.

“Our goal for 2021 is to replicate what we already do for the pharmaceutical sector in the cosmetics segment, namely create entire production lines capable of performing all the operations required by the customer, from the production process through to product packaging,” commented Marchesini Group’s CEO Pietro Cassani.

The buildings that will house Customer Care are located next to the Beauty Division facilities, making for a total new space of 9,000 square metres.
