Sustainability in beverage with zero-mile production
An extremely positive 2021 allows the San Benedetto Group to end the year with consolidated sales of 761 million euros, a year-on-year increase in revenues of +8.2%, and more than 4.5 billion bottles sold worldwide.
Results that bring the Total Beverage Company back to its pre-covid operating performance with a growth trend that continued in the first five months of 2022, which recorded a 20.4% growth in turnover in value terms. The figures confirm the company's leadership in non-alcoholic beverages in Italy and its position as the top brand by penetration with a presence in 17.5 million households.
Going back to 2021, exports accounted for 8% of the Group's total turnover, standing at 51 million euros with a commercial presence in more than one hundred countries on five continents. An international vocation driven by the premium mineral water lines San Benedetto Millennium Water and San Benedetto Prestige. The success has been achieved thanks to an industrial policy strongly oriented to value and innovative development aimed at wellness-with products such as SKINCARE, Aquavitamin, Tea and zero-sugar drinks-and sustainability.
And it is precisely to the environment that the recent acquisition of the Pocenia plant in Friuli-Venezia Giulia looks, which has enabled the company to relaunch the Fonte Corte Paradiso brand and expand the "network project" by relocating production to six strategic sites throughout the country. This initiative allows San Benedetto to move closer to places of consumption, reducing the incidence of transportation and enhancing the networks of high quality local waters.
