Mechatronics at Kilometro Rosso
468 visitors representing the major concerns of the sector, pressing and high tech topics and a unique layout have made a success of the first edition of the show/conference “Forum Meccatronica: innovating and competing with automation technologies”.
The event, created and promoted by the Mechatronics Group of ANIE Automazione and organized by Messe Frankfurt at the Kilometro Rosso science and technology center, on the A4 highway outside Bergamo, fostered a meaningful encounter between producers and users of mechatronic solutions and suppliers of components and systems for advanced automation. The main themes of the two roundtables held during the day were: designing machines from a mechatronic perspective and the ever increasing flexibility demanded of production processes.
The relevance of these topics was also highlighted by Sabina Cristini, President of Mechatronics Group - ANIE Automazione who explains: «The increasingly close coordination between mechanical, electronic and data components represents an important factor in competitiveness for machine builders and end users, and this importance will continue to rise with the introduction of modern Industry 4.0 concepts that require a multidisciplinary approach to all levels of industry».
For his part, Donald Wich, managing director of Messe Frankfurt Italia, in an opening address also reminded his audience of the Forum’s itinerant nature, which has the purpose of lending a voice and response to the problems and production needs of each region. This also confirms the solid cooperation between ANIE Automazione and Messe Frankfurt Italia, which started with the fair SPS IPC Drives Italia and further grew with side events such as Forum Meccatronica and Forum Telecontrollo.
