A voice for logistics

VOICE COLLECTING Checking and pick-up operations of warehoused goods halved, operator time down 20%, number of errors reduced by between 50 and 80%, working costs down by 35%. The new integrated Vocollect Voice system.

Vocollect celebrates the results achieved in ten years of direct presence in Italy and presents the new generation Vocollect Voice system: an integrated union of hardware and software units for the vocal enabling of warehouse and distribution functions by mobile operators, that represent the state-of-the-art of the voice recognition technology.

Antonino Lanza, Vocollect EMEA Business Development Manager, spoke of the same in a recent press conference, underlining both the enhancement of the single elements as well as the integrated character of a system ”designed around the operator”.

System characteristics
voice as well as scanning functions, enabling hands free scanning and eliminating the need for supplementary scanners.
«Extremely important too - Lanza underlines - is the progress in dialoguing, that now demands a fifth of the time previously taken; in the capacity of recognition of the instructions, even in multi ethnic environments; in the connection of any type of WMS system and a lot more. The truly important returns in efficiency, accuracy and cost saving in warehouse management can be summed up in some exemplary figures: -20.8% time saved in transaction, reduction of errors
from 4 to 1, 35% reduction in operating costs».
