Software for remote maintenance
Asem SpA (one of the pioneers of technological and digital integration between IT and industrial automation) has released Ubiquity 3, the new version of the software platform for remote maintenance.
Thus empowered, the platform enables work on a remote system as if it were inhouse, with all the advantages of the availability of the skills to solve problems close at hand, eliminating distances and on-site travel expenses and reducing post sales assistance service.
The novelty of Ubiquity 3 include the new, friendlier layout of the control center; the built-in firewall, to filter Ethernet packages; the improved management of access and permission control, with four different user profiles, and a further extension of the server infrastructure. Thanks to the latter extension, Ubiquity reaches six servers located in the same number of farms geographically distributed around the globe.
With Ubiquity, the Ubiquity RK10 and RK11 Router systems can also be configured through an effective and simple web interface accessible from any web browser, including smartphones or tablets, simply by typing in the IP router address in the address bar. In addition, it is supported by a new family of Ubiquity RM routers that will include the data monitoring function.
