Corrosion resistant gearboxes

Often food-, pharmaceutical industry or packaging system axes need to be subjected to repeated washings, sometimes performed by spraying at low pressure. 

For these industries, where hygiene conditions play a key role, WITTENSTEIN alpha has developed a line of corrosion resistant gearboxes with IP65 grade protection, able to withstand frequent washing, even with highly corrosive cleaners.
Their "secret" resides in the interfaces, made entirely of stainless steel, and in the outer casing coated with a bi-component lacquer - except for the centering, which is nickel-plated to maintain the prescribed tolerances (g6). Even the shaft or the outfeed flange are  made in stainless steel and the lubrication is food grade, that is comprised of food compatible grease, as laid down in NSF standards.
Both WITTENSTEIN alpha’s planetary as well as angular gearboxes are available in corrosion resistant versions.
