Plumrose chooses Italian meats
Plumrose, a US subsidiary of the meat giant JBS USA, has announced its intention to construct a new production facility with a value of US $200 million. The company plans to devote the facility entirely to the production and packaging of high quality Italian meats and charcuterie.
The investment comes about a year after the expansion of the Iowa facility for a cost of $20 million.
Plumrose USA was founded 85 years ago and in 2017 was acquired by JBS USA from the Denmark-based group Danish Crown for $230 million.
The company operates six production facilities in the United States, where it mainly produces bacon-based products.
